Award-winning music producer Oskid, actual name Prince Tapfuma, claims that he was one of the co-producers of Jah Prayzah’s song Tocheka Hukama from his most recent album Maita Baba, on which he collaborated with South African artists Dj Tira and Nomfundo.
Oskid addressed the situation on his Facebook page after it emerged that the music posted on YouTube was attributed to Mvzzle and Rodney Beatz as the producers.
“Maybe it was supposed to be a secret, Tocheka Hukama By Jah Prayzah was produced by 3 producers, Mvzzle, Oskid Productions, and DJ Tira, and the guitar was played by Farai Mafukidze (Buffalo Soldier’s lead guitarist) from Gweru, who is now based in South Africa But for their reasons, they wrote that it was produced by Mvzzle and Rodney Beats.
“Kudenga kuchanotsva Benzi…IBOTSO!!!” he said.
Jah Prayzah launched two new albums on consecutive days in two different cities, Harare and Bulawayo, respectively.
The first album, Chiremerera, was launched on May 12 at The Old Hararians, and the final one, Maita Baba, which is a contemporary album, was launched at Queens Sports club the following day.
