Three mourners killed in tragic Kadoma crash

Three mourners, who were traveling from Kadoma to attend the burial of a relative who had tragically taken their own life by hanging, lost their lives in a devastating accident on Saturday afternoon.

The incident occurred near Kadoma, at the 137-kilometer mark along the Bulawayo-Harare highway. The crash resulted in serious injuries for 15 other passengers who were also in the vehicle at the time.

According to a tweet from the Zimbabwe Republic Police, the three individuals died on impact, while the remaining 15 occupants of the Toyota Hilux vehicle sustained injuries when it veered off the road to the left. The vehicle subsequently flipped over and came to rest on its left side.

Emergency services were dispatched to the scene, and the deceased were transported to the Kadoma General Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examinations.

The injured individuals were also taken to the same medical institution, where they are currently receiving treatment for their various injuries. The exact nature and severity of their injuries were not specified.
