AFRIMA Awards organisers have officially revealed the nominees for this year’s Awards in all African categories.
Zimbabwe’s own Tamy Moyo has been nominated again for an AFRIMA Award this year, representing the country.
Tamy Moyo will go head to head with nine other female artists for the Best Female Southern Africa Award. This is the fourth time Tamy has been nominated for an AFRIMA Award.
Moyo has been making waves in the local music scene and has managed to stay relevant over the years.
She has been a player.
She has a couple of hits to her name.
Local greats like Jah Prayzah, Holy Ten and others have worked with her on some of her hits.
Representing Zimbabwe on the list is Tamy Moyo and South African-based Amapiano queen Sha Sha.
Other nominees in the same category are South Africa’s DJ Zinhle, Ami Faku, Makhadzi, Tyla and Nadia Nakai.
Towela from Zambia and Mpho Sebina from Botswana are also battling for the Award in the same category.
Winky D is the other Zimbabwean artist that has been nominated for the Best Male Southern Africa Award where he faces competition from the likes of Costa Titch, AKA, DJ Maphorisa, Musa Keys and many others.
