Musona Leaves Al Tai For Al Riyadh FC

Former Warriors captain Knowledge Musona has officially joined Saudi Arabian side Al Riyadh SC.

Musona, who currently frequently plays as an attacking midfielder, enjoyed a successful campaign with Saudi Arabia Pro League team Al Tai after moving there from RSC Anderlecht in July 2021.

However, when his deal with the Premier League side came to an end at the end of the season, the 32-year-old chose not to extend it.

Musona made 29 appearances this season, had nine assists, and scored eight goals (after one was deemed an own goal).

After joining Al Riyadh, who placed fourth in the Saudi Arabian Yelo League (first tier) and received immediate promotion to the Saudi Pro League, he will be back in the Saudi Pro League.

Pitso Mosimane’s old squad Al Ahli Saudi, Al Hilal, Al Nassr, and Al Ittihad, who were all taken over by the nation’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) and received substantial cash injections, will be his opponents in the premier division in addition to his former team Al Tai.

Musona was one of the most productive players in the Saudi Pro League, contributing to 17 goals, one more than Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored 14 goals and assisted in two more.
