Celebrated martial artist, Sensei Wilfred Mashaya, has been honoured for his efforts towards the development of the sport.
The award-winning Ninja was named Master of the Year 2022 Award and the 2022 Best Martial Arts Police Instructor of the Year.
Mashaya received the awards during the Sixth World Humanitarian Festival of Martial Arts Award Ceremony held on a ship cruising along the Montenegrin Coast.
He also received a Shihan Certificate in Self Defense from the World Federation of Martial Arts. The certificate was handed to him by German GrandMaster Berger and WFMA President GrandMaster Zivkovic from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The honor also recognized his generous contributions to teaching self-defense to society’s most vulnerable members, including children, women, and, most importantly, people with disabilities.
This idea of ploughing back to the community attracted the attention of the international community.
