I want to live with my conscience – Baba Harare

Baba Harare has opened up about his nomination withdrawal from the StarFM Listener’s Choice Awards.

The Jiti musician pulled out of the Album of the nomination on Friday saying he feels not worthy of the recognition.

Baba Harare felt there are many other great artists than him who actually deserves the nomination.

However the development was met with mixed emotions from his fans with some linking his decision on the Winky D’s snub.

He then went on to clear the air saying:”My choice to not participate in the nomination process was not a grand stand.

“It was just my way of being able to live comfortably with my conscience.

“After all has been said and done I want to be able to look in the mirror and like the me who’s looking back. I have faith that our industry will one day become an even playing field were ALL artists can play.

“I pray for that day to be soon,” he posted on Facebook.

Baba Harare was nominated together with Feli Nandi, Minister Micheal Mahendere, Freeman and Voltz JT.
