Government fulfilling development promises- ED

President Emmerson Mnangagwa says the government is fulfilling its promises to develop the country, citing several examples of projects undertaken by the Second Republic, among them the completion of the Manicaland University of Applied Sciences and the opening of the Simon Mazorodze School of Medicine and Health Sciences at Great Zimbabwe University.

President Mnangagwa was addressing the 366th Session of the Politburo in Harare this afternoon, which marked the start of ZANU PF the 7th National People’s Congress being held under the theme ‘ Building a Prosperous Zimbabwe- Leaving No One and No Place Behind’

The holding of the national congress follows successful holding of the Youth and Women’s League as well as the War veterans League Conference.

The politburo meeting will be followed by the 118th Central Committee meeting set for tomorrow.

“Under the Second Republic, the ZANU PF Govt managed to launch the long-anticipated Manicaland State University of Applied Sciences, which had its stand-alone graduation ceremony during the course of the month. This is a well deserved development for the people of Manicaland Province.”

“In spite of the deleterious impact of sanctions, the ZANU PF Govt is moving ahead in delivering the promises we made to leapfrog the development of our beloved motherland, Zimbabwe.”
