Dynamic Duo Returns: Willom Tight, Dino Mudondo joins forces for new music

Afro-jazz musician Willbroad “Willom Tight” Muponda and Rasta kwasa musician Dino Mudondo, who formed a formidable combination in the early 2000s, have “reconnected” and the two are dropping another song titled “Love yangu newe”.

The pair, who mesmerised music fans across the country with songs such as Bhazi, Chirangano and Maikokoi, among others during a four-year stint, are once again rocking fans.

Speaking to the publication Dino Mudondo said he is releasing the single on his birthday.

“Love yangu newe Is the title of my latest offering.

“It is a reggae lovers rock song about a Ghetto guy and an uptown Girl.

“Performed by myself and Willom Tight and spiced up by the beautiful harmonies of Diana Samkange.”

He added:

“Having been away from home for a long time I came up with a plan to engage my old and new musical friends to help me put together my comeback album.

“So, one of my few good friends from Bulawayo who have I came back to find married to his long-time girlfriend from Harare inspired the song.

Mudondo said it had been closed to a decade since he and Willom Tight went separate ways and worked together so this coming back together really gave them a great time to rekindle their musical romance together.

“After writing the song my producer said let’s future Willom tight because of some bars which directly linked the brotherly kind of love that exists between me and Willom.

“So, we approached him and he was glad to be part of the project.

“This also came in as the answer to so many questions that were being asked by our duo fans who kept on requesting for something brand new from Dino and Willom,”he said.

“Fans should really out for more n more collaborations from me and Willom.”

The single is dropping first from the forthcoming album entitled BACK2FRONT which is going to be accompanied by a very beautiful video featuring willom tight, kuno mawire, Cleo Mashingaidze and many more
