By Entertainment Reporter

Zimbabwean-British actor, Chipo Chung has hyped up the new drama series she is in, Silo.

Chipo plays Sandy in the drama which is Apple TV+’s 10-part adaptation of the first book in Hugh Howey’s bestselling trilogy of the same name. The Guardian describes Silo as an “utterly fantastic story” set in a post-apocalyptic, bunker-dwelling civilisation.

Most fondly known for her role as Master in another apocalyptic series, Into the Badlands, Chipo is excited about her new role.

“Face says it all: there’s some drama going on at AppleTV!” she wrote on her Facebook page

“#Silo dropped today – you can watch the first two episodes on @appletv and find out what’s up with Sandy…”

On April 29 Chipo described the cast of Silo as the cast are “thrilling”. She wrote on Facebook:

“Rebecca Ferguson, David Oyelowo, Tim Robbins (!!), Common (word) and lots of fabulous old friends: Harriet Walter, Tanya Moodie, Claire Perkins, Ferdy Kingsley.

“The book it’s based on – Wool by Hugh Howey – is also pretty awesome and it was a great seeing how Graham Yost and Aric Avelino transformed it, but also made a tv version that will make the book’s fans very happy. You’re in for a treat!”
